BrickRed has successfully completed the first phase of the roll-out for its online Client dashboard, named Whizible. Whizible is intended to provide BrickRed’s Clients, complete visibility of their offshore engagement. The tool was successfully piloted last year and was rolled-out organization-wide this summer. Its implementation re-enforces BrickRed's customer focus in bringing more transparency and control for the customer during the execution of their projects.
It is a multifaceted tool that allows customers, project managers and team members as well as other senior managers to view project related information. Its enhanced customer user interface provides a comprehensive view about tasks, issues, milestones and deliverables. It provides a framework of processes and related metrics that can be easily inherited by projects; and can subsequently be monitored. The Task Management, Timesheet and Issues modules help in timely discovery, tracking and resolution of issues – both pointed out by the customer and the internal QA team.
Is Whizible a Project Management tool?
NO. Project Management features are just one part of this tool, allowing the BrickRed Project Manager to plan a project and assign tasks to team members from within it. However, the essence of the tool is in the ‘Client Dashboard’ that allows the Client teams sitting thousands of miles away to log-in anytime and view the current status of their project. For the more curious ones, there is complete access of information about:
- Who is working, and on what task?
- Which are the tasks that are pending vis-à-vis original plan?
- If there is a slippage, how many days are we talking about?
- Historical performance metrics
- And more…
For long BrickRed felt the need to have a tool that can make the whole offshore development process much more interactive and much more transparency for its customers. And that is what Whizible delivers, and that is why it is more a ‘Client Visibility Dashboard’ than a simple project management tool.
Whizible has been implemented by a specially created team, who has used their significant industry experience as well as inputs from Clients in making this first phase a resounding success; with more than 80% of BrickRed’s 32 current engagements are using the dashboard for interacting with their offshore teams. With the first phase complete, their eyes are set on the next phase which will see some major improvements in the user interface as also feature-set addition on the Client logins.
